These terms cover your use of Sharen ("the app"), a QR code design tool published by Deteck ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sharen on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial purposes. The app runs on your device; no account is needed and nothing has to be purchased.
You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the app except where that right cannot legally be restricted, redistribute it as your own, or remove any notices it contains.
We claim no ownership of anything you enter into Sharen or of the images you export. They are built on your device, and — as the privacy policy describes — we never receive their content.
Because of that, you are solely responsible for what you encode and where you put it. If you embed a logo or image, you are confirming you have the right to use it.
QR codes are trusted by the people who scan them. Do not use Sharen to create codes that:
We have no way to see what you create and therefore cannot police this — which is exactly why the responsibility rests with you.
The app offers a form for suggestions. Anything you send through it may be used to improve Sharen without restriction, attribution or payment. Please do not send anything confidential, and do not send ideas you expect to be kept secret or compensated for.
What is transmitted, and what is not, is set out in the privacy policy.
Sharen includes open-source software and open fonts, each under its own licence. Those licences are listed in the app under Settings → Licenses and govern those components rather than these terms.
The app also uses Google Firebase, which is subject to Google's own terms. Distribution through an app store is additionally subject to that store's terms.
Sharen is provided as it is at the time you install it. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we are not obliged to keep any particular feature, preset or font available. Features that depend on a network connection may be unavailable at times.
Sharen is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every code it produces will scan correctly on every device or in every printed size.
Test your codes before you rely on them — particularly before printing them, embedding a logo, or using a small export size, any of which can affect whether a scanner reads the code.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Sharen — including lost profits, lost data, or costs from a code that failed to scan or was misused by someone else.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Sharen is to be brought before the competent courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
If you use Sharen as a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings where those rules allow.
We may update these terms as the app changes. The "Last updated" date above will change with them, and material changes will be reflected before the version they describe ships. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
